Join Us for the Live at Evergreen Summer Concert Series. 15900 Berkeley Drive, Haymarket, VA 20169

Our third concert is TONIGHT June 25th. 6:30 - 9:30 pm with our feature band Old School.

Old School is comprised of old friends and real music lovers! The players have moved from band to band, honing their talents, then finally coming together in 2006. In 2008 and 2009 they added 2 new members to cover all of the types of music that they love to play. Music has played a part in all of their lives for years, they pride ourselves in putting on an enjoyable show. Old School performs music that people of all ages can relate to as well as enjoy listening to. They put a lot of emphasis on making sure we perform songs the way people remember them. Some tunes have their our own twist and most you will make you get up and dance.

Old School Band Members

Kim Elliott, one of the founding members, is the lead singer and tambourine expert. She has an outstanding vocal range that is very well suited for the many genres of music that we cover. Kim has been singing and performing on stage all over the mid Atlantic region since she was a child. Kim has been the lead singer for: Chances R, The Fabulous BelAirs, The Imposters, The Impossibles, For Real and Blues Condition. She is excellent at country, blues and rock, and feels every song she sings. She is a valuable asset to the band.

Randy Brown, also a founding member, plays bass, sings some lead and back‐up vocals and is also the "mouth" of the group. He will keep the crowd entertained between songs and is a sterling conversationalist. Randy has played bass for Savage, a rock group that won the largest “Battle of the Bands” ever held in the Washington metro area in 1978. Randy was also in Pyramid, a group that played many gigs in Colonial Beach during the mid 80s and hundreds of other Pyramid dates, opening for several well known national acts. Randy has also played bass with the bluegrass band Let‐Er‐Go Boys and the Northern Virginia rock band For Real.

Tom Childers, another of the founding members, plays lead guitar, a little bit of keyboards, some lead and back‐up vocals. Tom has also played in several bands such as Friday 13th, Hitt, Full Tilt Boogie, Rip Rap, Scuttle Butt and Apparatus. Tom is a very versatile guitar player. Tom is a long time resident of the Colonial Beach area and played in Pyramid with Randy in the mid 80s. Tom has also had the privilege of opening for some well known national acts.

Harley Walker joined the group in May 2009. He plays the drums and sings some back‐up vocals. Harley is originally from New Hampshire, but now resides in Port Royal, Virginia. He began playing the classic rock club scene in 1983 at 18 years of age. After a decade of rock he switched directions and jumped into the blues/R&B scene doing shows and studio sessions for 13 years. In 2003 he played with two classic rock bands out of Manchester, New Hampshire as well as blues gigs until moving to Virginia in October of 2008. He is very talented and has the drive and determination to help Old School perform their best.

Dave Gorozdos joined the band in March 2008, plays keyboards, and sings some lead and back‐up vocals. He has worked with many musicians over the years, actually too many to name. Dave has played many genres of music all over the Mid‐Atlantic region, he adds a great deal of talent and diversity to the group. Dave lives in Baltimore, Maryland and is one of the easiest going people you’ll ever know.
